Snorkeling Kayaking Wildlife Observation

Today you will arrive for your exciting Galapagos cruise on the Natural Paradise Galapagos Yacht, and you will be collected from the airport on San Cristobal Island.

Following transfer and settling into the Natural Paradise yacht, we will head to the first Galapagos visitor site of Leon Dormido. Leon Dormido is so named because it looks like a sleeping lion, and the island is home to a variety of sea birds.

Galapagos Wildlife you might see today: Sea turtles, sharks, manta rays, various sea birds.
Day 2 (Wednesday) - NORTH SEYMOUR & SOUTH PLAZA

AM: North Seymour

PM: South Plaza Island

Hiking Snorkeling Wildlife Observation

This morning the Natural Paradise ship will be moored close to North Seymour Island. We will start our day here with a fairly flat trail and the opportunity to observe a variety of bird life, including sizable colonies of noisy blue footed boobies.

Later, at South Plaza Island we will observe wildlife among the red scrubby vegetation, including land iguanas.

Galapagos wildlife to spot here today: Land iguana, marine iguana, blue footed booby, magnificent frigate bird, red-billed tropic bird, swallow-tailed gull.
Day 3 (Thursday) - RABIDA ISLAND & BARTHOLOMEW
AM: Rabida island

PM: Bartholomew island

Hiking Snorkeling Wildlife Observation

With its striking red sand beach, you will enjoy the color and photography opportunities of Rabida Island, our first stop for the Natural Paradise boat cruise this morning. .

Following a trail walk and some snorkeling we will head to Pinnacle Rock on Bartolome Island, surely one of the most spectacular spots in the archipelago, with plenty of wildlife to enjoy too.

Wildlife you might see today: Sea lions, finches, turtles, Galapagos penguin, rays, marine iguana, fur seal.
Day 4 (Friday) - SANTIAGO & SANTA CRUZ
AM: Sullivan Bay

PM: Santa Cruz Island

The Natural Paradise luxury yacht first calls at Sullivan Bay on Santiago Island this morning, and we will head out across the landscape, taking in intriguing lava formations among the volcanic fields. In viewing the fascinating geology, you will get a real sense of how the Galapagos Islands were formed.

At Dragon Hill on Santa Cruz Island you will get the chance to spot mini dragons, or in other words, land iguanas, scurrying around in the vegetation.

Galapagos wildlife today: Land iguana, flamingos, shore birds, marine iguana, Sally Lightfoot crab.
Day 5 (Saturday) - SANTA CRUZ HIGHLANDS
AM: Santa Cruz Highlands

PM: Fausto Llerena breeding center

Hiking Wildlife Observation

Today is spent on Santa Cruz Island. As the Natural Paradise ship docks at Puerto Ayora harbor, we will head into the highlands to observe and photograph a real treat – giant tortoises in their natural habitat. A visit to Los Gemelos is enlightening on volcanic activity.

Later, we will head to the Fausto Llerena Breeding Center at Puerto Ayora to see the giant tortoise breeding program.

Galapagos wildlife to look for: Marine iguana, Sally Lightfoot crab, sea lion, frigate birds, giant tortoise, finches.
Day 6 (Sunday) - GENOVESA
AM: El Barranco

PM: Darwin Bay

This morning at El Barranco, or Prince Phillip’s Steps on Genovesa Island you will climb up a steep rocky path to access a tremendous view of cliffs and vegetation beyond.

Later, at Darwin Bay we spend some time on a beautiful white coral sand beach with tidal pools and a range of bird life. We can walk to get an excellent cliff top view as well.

Wildlife to look out for: Nazca booby, red-footed booby, swallow-tailed gull, sea lion, short-eared lava owl, Galapagos swallow, Galapagos dove.
Day 7 (Monday) - SANTIAGO
AM: Espumilla Beach

PM: Egas Port

Today, at Espumilla Beach on Santiago Island there is a chance to see a green turtle nesting site and enjoy a delightful sandy beach, perhaps with a chance for some snorkeling too.

This afternoon, the Natural Paradise Galapagos ship will stop at Egas Port where we can enjoy the view of sea lions resting along the beautiful beach and interesting rock formations in the background.

Galapagos wildlife to spot: Flamingos, white-cheeked pintails, sea lion, Sally Lightfoot crab, Galapagos fur seal, green turtles.
Day 8 (Tuesday) - SANTA CRUZ
AM: Bachas Beach - Baltra

Hiking Wildlife Observation

Bachas Beach on Santa Cruz Island has an interesting history as it was used by the United States during World War II. Today, this pretty white sand beach is home to some fascinating wildlife.

After this stop, your cruise on the Natural Paradise luxury boat comes to an end and you will be escorted to Baltra Airport for your flight back to Ecuador’s mainland and your onward journey.

Day 1 (Tuesday) - SANTA CRUZ
AM: Baltra

PM: Eden Islet

This morning after your arrival at Baltra Airport you will be met by a Natural Paradise luxury yacht representative and escorted to the boat for the start of your Galapagos adventure.

After some time to get settled we will head to your first Galapagos visitor site, which is Eden islet, located off the western coast of Santa Cruz Island, Eden Islet offers visitors a great chance to see a variety of Galapagos wildlife from the dinghy ride both on shore and under the water.

Galapagos wildlife to spot today: Land iguanas, sea lions, marine iguana, finches, Sally Lightfoot crab.
Day 2 (Wednesday) - ISABELA & FERNANDINA
AM: Vicente Roca Point

PM: Espinosa Point

This morning you will start way out west at Isabela Island’s Vincente Roca Point, where we take a panga ride past caves and coves to view the fascinating wildlife along the way.

At Espinosa Point on Fernandina Island later on you can spot the marine iguanas, somewhat camouflaged among the black lava rocks and exposed coral that they call their home.

Galapagos wildlife to observe here: Marine iguana, flightless cormorant, snakes, penguins, sea lions, Sally Lightfoot crab, Galapagos hawk, sea horse, batfish.
Day 3 (Thursday) - ISABELA
AM: Urbina Bay

PM: Moreno Point

The Natural Paradise cruise stops at the Urbina Bay Galapagos visitor site on Isabela Island this morning where we can enjoy a trail from the beach to view interesting scenery. The trail leads around in a loop for a chance to enjoy different wildlife.

Later, at Moreno Point, among the black lava backdrop there are pretty lagoons and a plethora of wildlife to take in.

Wildlife you can see today: Flamingo, paint-billed crake, white-cheeked pintails, common gallinules, giant tortoise, land iguana, flightless cormorant.
Day 4 (Friday) - ISABELA
AM: Sierra Negra Volcano

PM: The Wall of Tears, Wetlands, Breeding Center of Isabela

Hiking Wildlife Observation

This morning the first stop is the impressive Sierra Negra volcano on Isabela Island, with its large caldera and panoramic views from the visitor site.

The Wall of Tears has a sad history and stands as a reminder of the prisoners who died building it. The walk to it passes mangroves and lagoons, and a variety of wildlife.

Later we will also visit the Arnaldo Tupiza Tortoise breeding Center of Isabela and learn about the breeding program here.

Galapagos Wildlife you might see today: Sea lions, finches, marine iguanas, giant tortoise.
Day 5 (Saturday) - CHINESE HAT & MOSQUERA
AM: Chinese Hat

PM: Mosquera Islet

Hiking Wildlife Observation

Chinese Hat is a spectacular landscape sight which looks exactly like its name. It is also blessed with a stunning, white sand, crescent-shaped beach to enjoy, and plenty of wildlife too.

Later at Mosquera Islet there is no clearly defined trail and we can wander with care to spot the wildlife residing on this rocky outcrop, in the tidal pools and on the white sand.

Look out for this Galapagos wildlife: Sea lion, lava gull, shore birds, sharks, penguins, rays.
Day 6 (Sunday) - FLOREANA
AM: Post Office Bay

PM: Cormorant Point, Champion Islet

This morning, the Natural Paradise yacht drops anchor close to Post Office Bay on Floreana Island. Here we can see the antiquated Galapagos Islands postal system in action, and you can try it for yourself – just pop a postcard in the barrel here.

Later on, we head to Cormorant Point, where there are surprisingly no cormorants, but some pretty flamingos living in a lagoon that backs a green-tinged beach. There is also a turtle nesting site.

Galapagos species: Flamingos, rays, turtles, stilts, flycatchers.
Day 7 (Monday) - ESPAÑOLA
AM: Suarez Point

PM: Gardner Bay

Suarez Point on Espanola Island is widely billed as one of the most fabulous wildlife spots in the Galapagos, and with good reason. There is a wide array of birdlife, and some spectacular views, with a lovely cliff top walk too.

Later, at Gardner Bay you can enjoy one of the very best white sand beaches in the Galapagos, with a large colony of noisy sea lions.

Wildlife to observe here: Waved albatross (in season – April to December), sea lions, blue footed booby, Nazca booby, mockingbirds, Galapagos hawk.
Day 8 (Tuesday) - SAN CRISTOBAL ISLAND
AM: Lobos Island - Baltra

Your trip on the Natural Paradise boat ends today, but before it does, there is time for one last fascinating Galapagos visitor site. We will head to Isla Lobos where there is a sea lion colony living among the rocks, and other interesting wildlife to observe.

After the visit you will be escorted to the airport on San Cristobal Island for your journey back to Ecuador.

On arrival at San Cristobal Island airport today you will be met by a Natural Paradise luxury yacht representative and transferred to your boat for the next few days. Following a briefing and settling in your adventure starts.

Your first exciting Galapagos visit is to Leon Dormido, a landscape that looks like a sleeping lion, or a boot, depending on your opinion. Here you will get your first taste of these fabulous islands and the days that will follow.

Day 2 (Wednesday) - NORTH SEYMOUR & SOUTH PLAZA

North Seymour Island is a favorite spot for birdlife to nest, and a walk along the fairly flat trail offers opportunities to observe this in action. There are colonies of the iconic blue footed booby here, and if the season is right you may spot them doing their unusual mating dance.

Later, the Natural Paradise boat moors near South Plaza Island, providing opportunities for a visit to spot land iguanas.

Wildlife you might see today: Blue footed booby, frigate birds, gulls, marine iguana, land iguana.
Day 3 (Thursday) - RABIDA ISLAND & BARTHOLOMEW
AM: Rabida island

PM: Bartholomew island

Rabida Island stands out from the other islands for its bright red coloring and sea lions lazing around on the beach. Snorkeling here offers a wonderful opportunity to observe the busy marine life below the water’s surface. .

Pinnacle Rock on Bartolome Island is a Galapagos favorite and is well photographed, as the view is simply splendid. The walk to the best photography spot along the trail is well worth the effort.

Day 4 (Friday) - SANTIAGO & SANTA CRUZ

Sullivan Bay on Santiago Island is striking for its volcanic formations. Beyond the white coral beach, there is a massive lava field and a range of wildlife to observe. You can learn about the geology and how the islands were volcanically formed over millions of years.

At Dragon Hill on Santa Cruz Island, you will be very likely to see land iguanas, after which this Galapagos visitor site gets its name, as they look like tiny dragons, scuttling around.

Day 5 (Saturday) - SANTA CRUZ ISLAND

PM: Baltra

Today is your last time aboard the Natural Paradise cruise. Before your Galapagos cruise tour ends we will head to Los Gemelos (the twin craters) on Santa Cruz Island to enjoy a short walk through this interesting volcanic feature.

Following this, we will take you to the airport on Baltra for your onward journey back to Ecuador’s mainland and beyond.

On arrival at the airport on Baltra Island you will be collected by a representative of the Natural Paradise Galapagos yacht, and transported to your boat ready to start your trip.

Following a brief period of settling in and learning about your cruise we will visit the Fausto Llerena Breeding Center in Puerto Ayora, Santa Cruz Island. Here it is possible to learn about giant tortoise breeding programs.

Day 2 (Sunday) - GENOVESA

This morning on Genovesa Island you will climb the steep Prince Phillip’s steps up to the cliff top to enjoy a spectacular view of the scenery beyond. Bird life is abundant here, among this beautiful landscape.

This afternoon the Natural Paradise boat sails to Darwin Bay for a chance to enjoy a stunning coral white sand beach and to peep into the pools nearby to spot intriguing wildlife.

Galapagos wildlife to look out for today: Nazca booby, red-footed booby, swallow-tailed gull, sea lion, short-eared lava owl, Galapagos swallow, Galapagos dove.
Day 3 (Monday) - SANTIAGO ISLAND
AM: Espumilla Beach

Espumilla Beach on Santiago Island is the first stop for the Natural Paradise boat cruise today, with an opportunity to spot a green turtle nesting site. There is good snorkeling here and a lovely sandy beach too.

Later on today, we will head to Egas Port where a lovely beach Galapagos visitor site awaits us. There are fascinating rock formations, and sea lions residing here.

Galapagos wildlife: Flamingo, turtles, white-cheeked pintails, sea lion, Sally Lightfoot crab, green turtles.
Day 4 (Tuesday) - SANTA CRUZ
AM: Bachas Beach - Baltra

One final Galapagos visitor site is yours to enjoy today before your Natural Paradise Galapagos cruise draws to a close. The last visit on your cruise is to Bachas Beach on Santa Cruz Island. As well as viewing the wildlife here, there may be time to enjoy a refreshing swim too.

After your visit you will be transferred to Baltra Airport for your flight to Ecuador and back home.
