Itinerary Northern Islands
Day 1 (Monday) - SANTA CRUZ
AM: Arrival to Baltra Island
PM: Highlands of Santa Cruz
Your exciting Galapagos trip commences today on Santa Cruz. After a transfer from the airport to La Pinta Galapagos Yacht and lunch we will visit the Santa Cruz Highlands. Here at this Galapagos visitor site we look for giant tortoises roaming around a lush green reserve. There are also interesting geological features in this area, and we will observe lava tunnels, formed from volcanic activity.
Galapagos wildlife to look for: Sea lion, pelicans, marine iguana, giant tortoise.
Day 2 (Tuesday) - SANTA CRUZ
AM: Eden Islet
PM: Sombrero Chino Eden Islet, off the north coast of Santa Cruz is a volcanic cone, and is relatively “young” by Galapagos geological standards. There are excellent snorkeling opportunities here, or perhaps a trip in a glass bottomed boat. Later on, we will visit Chinese Hat, so named because the scenery looks exactly like that. The lava formations give way to fascinating wildlife on this tiny islet. Galapagos wildlife to observe today: Sharks, blue footed booby, red footed booby, salemas, rays, turtles.Day 3 (Wednesday) - BARTOLOME & SANTIAGO
AM: Bartolome
PM: Sullivan Bay
Today we visit Bartolome Island with its stunning scenery. Pinnacle Rock is a true Galapagos highlight, and much photographed. There is a trail walk to the viewpoint and beach time planned for today. There may be a chance for a ride in a glass bottomed boat.
Later, at Sullivan Bay there is a white sand beach, and our trail also heads across a lava field.
Galapagos wildlife to see: Sea lion, marine iguana, lava heron, Galapagos penguin, Sally Lightfoot crab, green turtle.
Day 4 (Thursday) - GENOVESA
AM: Darwin Bay
PM: Prince Phillip’s Steps
La Pinta Galapagos Yacht today takes you to Genovesa Island. Here we will first head to Darwin Bay. This is a paradise for birdwatchers, and there are good photography opportunities, with splendid backdrops.
Later we will visit the Prince Philip’s Steps, where a steep set of steps lead to a lovely spot, flanked by cliffs and lava formations.
Galapagos wildlife today: Nazca booby, herons, finches, red footed booby, mockingbirds, frigate birds, marine iguana, Galapagos Storm Petrel, Red-billed tropicbird, warblers.
Day 5 (Friday) - BALTRA
Today your Galapagos adventure draws to a close. We will head to Baltra Island. This island is interesting historically, and the flat landscape makes it ideally suited to locate the airport. On arrival you will say goodbye to the La Pinta Galapagos yacht and you will be escorted to the airport. From here you will head onwards to the Ecuadorian mainland.
Itinerary Eastern Islands
Day 1 (Thursday) - SOUTH PLAZAS
AM: Baltra
PM: South Plazas
This morning you will arrive at Baltra Airport, and from here you will be met and escorted to the luxury La Pinta Galapagos Yacht.
After lunch and some setting in time we will head to your first Galapagos visitor site: South Plazas. The beautiful white sand beach is surrounded with a fascinating cactus-type vegetation, and residing in this area are land iguanas.
Galapagos wildlife you might see: Lava lizards, land iguana, Galapagos hawk, frigate birds, mockingbirds.
Day 2 (Friday) - SANTA FE & SAN CRISTOBAL
AM: Santa Fe
PM: Cerro Colorado
In the morning your Galapagos luxury tour will head to Santa Fe, and we will enjoy a lovely trail walk. There may be the chance to spot the endemic Santa Fe land iguana.
This afternoon, after sailing to San Cristobal Island, our Galapagos cruise itinerary takes you to Cerro Colorado (Red Hill). Here there is a giant tortoise breeding center within a delightful cool forested area.

Day 3 (Saturday) - SAN CRISTOBAL
AM: Punta Pitt
PM: Cerro Brujo
Punta Pitt offers lovely scenery along a trail which starts from the beach. The trail heads up a hill formed by volcanic activity and there are good views at the top.
Cerro Brujo is noteworthy for its picturesque large beach formed from coral. In the past, settlers extracted salt from a nearby lake. From the site you can see Kicker Rock.
Galapagos wildlife to look out for today: Coastal birds, including shore birds, sea lions.
Day 4 (Sunday) - ESPAÑOLA
AM: Punta Suarez
PM: Gardner Bay
Punta Suarez is a genuine Galapagos highlight, and the sea bird colonies are astounding. In the right season, a real treat is the chance to see the waved albatross taking off from the albatross runway (April – December).
Later we visit Gardner Bay for time on a glorious white sand coral beach. There are chances to snorkel, or take a trip in the La Pinta luxury yacht’s glass bottomed boat.
Galapagos wildlife to observe today: Waved albatross, Galapagos hawk, herons, blue footed booby, sea lions.
Day 5 (Monday) - BALTRA
There is time for one last Galapagos visitor’s site before your journey on your luxury Galapagos yacht ends. We will head to the Charles Darwin Research Station on Santa Cruz Island. Here we can observe the giant tortoise breeding program at work.
From here we will escort you to Baltra Island to the airport, from where you will take your flight to Ecuador’s mainland.

Itinerary Western Islands
Day 1 (Friday) - NORTH SEYMOUR
AM: Baltra
PM: North Seymour
Today we will transfer you from Baltra Airport and welcome you aboard the La Pinta luxury Galapagos yacht – your home for the next few days.
After a short time to get acquainted with your boat and have lunch, we will visit North Seymour Island. This Galapagos visitor site is renowned for its bird nesting sites along its flat trail. This offers an excellent first taste of your Galapagos cruise.
Galapagos wildlife to look for: Blue footed booby, land iguana, frigate birds, pelicans, sea lion.
Day 2 (Saturday) - ISABELA & FERNANDINA
AM: Vicente Roca Point
PM: Espinosa Point
Vicente Roca Point provides opportunities to view nesting sea birds, which vary depending on the season. La Pinta Galapagos luxury yacht moors here for your visit to this rocky coastline.
Later, Punta Espinosa is one of the most fabulous Galapagos sites, and the scenic volcanic landscape is delightful to photograph. A wide range of bird life can be found residing here.
Galapagos wildlife you could observe today: Sea lion, fur sea lion, Galapagos hawk, snakes, marine iguana, flightless cormorant, penguin, turtle.
Day 3 (Sunday) - ISABELA
AM: Urbina Bay
PM: Tagus Cove
This morning’s first visit is to Urbina Bay. The landscape is noteworthy here as the coral protrudes from the sea – a result of volcanic activity. Here we may find giant tortoises and land iguanas.
Stunning Tagus Cove is our afternoon visit, and we can take a trail, viewing birdlife living on the cliffs. There is a chance to swim or snorkel here too.
Galapagos wildlife to spot: Galapagos penguin, hawks, flightless cormorants, marine iguana, Sally Lightfoot crab, giant tortoise, land iguana.
Day 4 (Monday) - RABIDA & SANTA CRUZ
AM: Rabida Island
PM: Cerro Dragon
Rabida Island and its spectacular red sand beach is the first stop for the La Pinta Galapagos cruise itinerary. Viewing the marine by glass bottomed boat, or snorkeling are options.
Dragon Hill Galapagos visitor site is our later visit today. Here we will see tiny dragons – the land iguanas that have made this hill their home. There is a salt water lagoon and on occasion flamingos are spotted here.
Galapagos wildlife to observe: Flamingos, land iguana, Finches, mockingbirds, warblers, black necked stilt, white cheeked pintail.
Day 5 (Tuesday) - SANTA CRUZ
AM: Charles Darwin Station
PM: Highands
The first port of call today is the fascinating Charles Darwin Research Station where there is a chance to learn about Galapagos conservation.
Later there is an opportunity to spot giant tortoises as they crash around in the vegetation of the highlands of Santa Cruz. Some of the finches that Darwin developed his evolution theory on can be found here too.
Galapagos wildlife to spot: Finches, giant tortoises, sea lion, pelican, land iguana, Sally Lightfoot crab.
Day 6 (Wednesday) - FLOREANA
AM: Post Office Bay
PM: Cormorant Point & Champion Islet
Post Office Bay on Floreana Island is fascinating for its antiquated and original mail system – post your cards in a barrel and you’ll see if they get home. We can swim at La Loberia beach too.
Later, at Punta Cormorant we will not see cormorants (the origin of the name is unknown), but we will visit a green colored beach backed by a lagoon where flamingos can be seen.
Galapagos wildlife to look for: Flamingos, turtles, shore birds.
Day 7 (Thursday) - BALTRA
This morning your luxury Galapagos tour on your La Pinta cruise draws to its end. We will head to the airport, and you will see why Baltra was selected as the location for this, due to its flat scenery.
We will say goodbye and you will board your flight to the Ecuadorian mainland and your onward journey.
