Day 2 (Monday) - ISABELA ISLAND

There will be an exciting start for the day today as you’ll wake up at Isabela Island, to the west of Santa Cruz.

The first visitor site today is las Tintoreras, a Galapagos visitor site with a fine walkway allowing views down into the channel of the sea life below.

Later, visits will include the giant tortoise breeding center and the Wall of Tears. The latter was built by a penal colony’s prisoners during the 20th century.

Day 3 (Tuesday) - FLOREANA ISLAND

Beautiful Floreana Island is the spot for today’s two Galapagos visitor sites. The first visit is to Punta Cormorant, which is noteworthy for its green colored beach and lagoons. Nearby is also Devil’s Crown, which is teeming with sea birds and marine life.

There is also a visit to Post Office Bay, a place with a barrel which was in the past used for dropping and delivering mail – a tradition that continues today.

Galapagos wildlife to look out for: Boobies, pelicans, frigates, red-billed tropicbird, flamingo, reef fish sea lion.

Day 4 (Wednesday) - SANTA CRUZ

Santa Cruz makes for a great Galapagos adventure, and today a visit to the highlands allows the opportunity to view giant tortoises in their natural habitat on the island. Seeing a giant tortoise crashing around in the greenery is a sight not to be missed.

Day 7 (Saturday) - SAN CRISTOBAL

Punta Pitt is located on the eastern side of San Cristobal Island, and a lovely walk up a volcanic hill offers splendid views, and a lot of bird life.

Moving on, the Galapagos visitor site Kicker Rock (Leon Dormido) is the next port of call, and depending on your view this resembles a boot or a sleeping lion. Watch for sea lions playing in the sea.

Galapagos wildlife to look out for today include: Blue footed booby, frigate birds, sea lions, other sea birds.

Day 8 (Sunday) - SAN CRISTOBAL
AM: Interpretation Center and Airport

Wildlife Observation

Your last day on the Galapagos Islands does not end immediately. First there is an informative visit to the Interpretation Center, providing a lot of information about human history and the formation of the islands. This helps to provide context on how life is in the islands today.

After your visit to the Center, your journey on your Galapagos luxury yacht comes to an end, and you will be escorted to the airport ready for your return flight.

Another visit, to Egas Port, allows you to see an interesting black sand beach, observe a wide range of wildlife and learn about the area’s fascinating salt mining history.

Day 4 (Wednesday) - SANTA CRUZ

Day 6 (Friday) - SANTA CRUZ ISLAND

The north of Santa Cruz Island offers some delightful marine life, and Black Turtle Cove will not disappoint. Here, a red mangrove wetland houses a nursery for rays and sharks.

The afternoon’s Galapagos visitor site, Dragon Hill, is an excellent place to see land iguanas. The trail heads up the hill from the beach and a diverse range of wildlife can be seen along the way.

Today’s first Galapagos visit as part of your Galapagos luxury cruise tour is Punta Pitt on San Cristobal Island. A trail up a volcanic hill offers panoramic views of the unusual landscape below.

The journey passes by Kicker Rock (Leon Dormido) which either looks like a boot or a sleeping lion, depending on your opinion, but it is spectacular either way. Watch out for sea lions frolicking at Isla Lobos as this is one of their favorite spots.

After your visit you will be escorted to the airport for your return journey to mainland Ecuador.

Fascinating lava formations await today at James Bay and Espumilla Beach on Santiago Island. During a walk past, you will learn how the landscape was formed, and see the Palo Santo Forest. Later in the morning, the Buccaneer Cove Galapagos visitor site provides some fascinating history about pirates.

Later, a visit to Egas Port provides another geological treat, and south of the beach is the Sugarloaf Volcano. Salt was formerly mined here, and this history will be shared.
