Day 1 (Saturday) - SANTA CRUZ

Wildlife Observation

Your Galapagos adventure commences today when you are escorted from Baltra Airport to the Galaxy II Galapagos yacht.

Following a welcome and some time to get settled, we will head to the Charles Darwin Station on Santa Cruz Island. Here you will learn about conservation programs in the archipelago and see the giant tortoise breeding program.

Day 2 (Sunday) - ISABELA

AM: Tintoreras

PM: Breeding Center – Wall of Tears

This morning you’ll wake up close to Isabela Island and we will first visit Tintoreras, a series of pretty islets that are packed with wildlife.

This afternoon we will head to a giant tortoise breeding center, and the Wall of Tears. The latter has a sad history, and on the trail to the site we may spot tortoises.

Galapagos Wildlife: Giant tortoises, marine iguana, Galapagos penguin, blue footed booby, sea lion, turtles.
Day 3 (Monday) - ISABELA
AM: Elizabeth Bay

PM: Urbina Bay

Isabela Island holds many Galapagos treats, and today we will visit two more on the Galaxy II luxury catamaran. Our first Galapagos visitor site today is to Elizabeth Bay. No landing is allowed here, but we can journey by dinghy to view this important penguin breeding site and the red mangrove cove.

Later, at Urbina Bay we can enjoy a pretty trail, and see coral protruding from the sea, caused by volcanic activity.

Galapagos Wildlife to look out for today: Galapagos penguin, turtles, rays, sharks, flightless cormorant, blue-footed booby.
Day 4 (Tuesday) - ISABELA & FERNANDINA
AM: Espinosa Point

PM: Vicente Roca Point

Our morning visit today is to Espinosa Point on Fernandina Island to see marine iguanas living amid the black lava rocks and exposed coral at this fascinating visitor site.

Later on, at Vincente Roca Point, we take a panga trip which passes by caves and delightful bays to explore intriguing wildlife that we will spot on the route.

Galapagos Species you can see today include: Marine iguana, flightless cormorant, snakes, penguins, sea lions, Sally Lightfoot crab, Galapagos hawk, seahorse, batfish.
Day 5 (Wednesday) - SANTIAGO & RABIDA
AM: Egas port

PM: Rabida

At Egas Port on Santiago Island, sea lions laze on the pretty beach, and we can enjoy a trail walk and view mysterious rock shapes.

Later on, the Galapagos Galaxy II boat cruise heads to Rabida Island. This site is sure to dazzle you with its bright red sand beach, its lovely lagoon and pleasant trail walk to spot wildlife.

Galapagos Wildlife to see today: Sea lion, marine iguana, Galapagos fur seal, Sally Lightfoot crab, blue-footed booby, Nazca booby, pintail duck, common stilt.
Day 6 (Thursday) - SANTA CRUZ
AM: Black Turtle Cove & Baltra

Today your journey on the Galaxy II ship around the Galapagos archipelago comes to an end. First, we will head to Black Turtle Cove, in the northern area of Santa Cruz. Accessible only by water, we will take panga trip through the pretty mangroves to look out for fascinating wildlife.

Afterwards, we will escort you to Baltra Airport for your return journey back to the Ecuador mainland.

Day 1 (Thursday) - SANTA CRUZ

Hiking Wildlife Observation

You’ll be escorted from Baltra Airport to the Galaxy II lGalapagos uxury yacht today to start your Galapagos trip.

Later on after settling in, we will visit your first Galapagos visitor site of Bachas Beach on Santa Cruz Island. This is a fabulous start to your next few days on the Galaxy II cruise ship. The beach has an interesting history as American barges washed up here after World war II.

Galapagos Wildlife to see: Flamingos, Sally Lightfoot crab, shorebirds.
Day 2 (Friday) - SANTIAGO & BARTOLOME
AM: Sullivan Bay

PM: Bartolome

Hiking Snorkeling Wildlife Observation

This morning’s visit is to Sullivan Bay on Santiago Island. Here, the geological history is apparent before our eyes and we can gain a better understanding of the volcanic activity which formed the islands. The vegetation is mostly fascinating lava colonizer plants.

Later we will head to Bartolome Island, perhaps one of the most photographed in the Galapagos archipelago, and with good reason. You’ll want to hike to the viewing point here.

Galapagos Wildlife to see: Sharks, rays, sea lions, Galapagos penguin, turtles.
Day 3 (Saturday) - SANTA CRUZ
AM: Highlands

PM: Charles Darwin Station

The Galaxy II motor cruise arrives at Santa Cruz Island today. This morning’s treat is a visit to the Santa Cruz Highlands to enjoy opportunities to spot giant tortoises wandering around in their natural habitat, which is lush and green.

Later, we will visit the Charles Darwin Station to learn more about Galapagos Islands conservation efforts and to view the giant tortoise breeding program here.

Galapagos Wildlife to look for: Giant tortoise, land iguana, sea lion, pelican, finches.
Day 4 (Sunday) - FLOREANA
AM: Cormorant Point

PM: Post Office

Hiking Snorkeling Wildlife Observation

Floreana Island is our next port of call. We will first head to Cormorant Point today to enjoy the intriguing green colored beach with its array of wildlife. This includes pink flamingos in the lagoon beyond the beach.

At Post Office Bay in the afternoon we will see the rum barrel that is used to collect and mail post. You can try it for yourself – pop some postcards in and see if they get home. This system is historical, in use for many years.

Galapagos Wildlife to observe: Sea lion, marine iguana, pelican, frigate birds, flamingos, turtles.
Day 5 (Monday) - ESPAÑOLA
AM: Suarez Point

PM: Gardner Bay

Espanola Island is very popular with guests of the Galapagos Galaxy II. In the morning, at Suarez Point we might see waved albatrosses (April – December) and we will enjoy a lovely trail up onto the cliff top to see the blowhole.

Later we relax at Gardner Bay with the locals – the wildlife that call this place home. The beach is stunning, formed of white sand, and there is good snorkeling too.

Galapagos Wildlife today: Waved albatross, boobies, sea lion, finches, mockingbirds, Galapagos hawk, marine iguana.
Day 6 (Tuesday) - SAN CRISTOBAL
Wildlife Observation

At San Cristobal Island our last visit of this Galaxy II Galapagos cruise is to the fascinating Interpretation Center to learn about the history and ecosystems of the Galapagos Islands, and how they are managed today.

Following this we will say goodbye and transport you to the airport on San Cristobal in time for your return flight to Ecuador.
