Today your adventure around the Galapagos Islands on the Seaman Journey yacht commences. You will be met at the airport and transported to your boat. After a short time to settle in, the boat will set sail.

Your first Galapagos visitor site is a real treat, as we head to North Seymour Island. The coastal walk presents many opportunities to view the mass of bird life that calls this island its home.

Galapagos wildlife to look out for: Blue footed booby, land iguana, marine iguana, frigate birds.
Day 2 (Saturday) - GENOVESA
AM: Prince Philip's Steps

Your Seaman Journey catamaran trip continues in earnest today on Genovesa Island at Prince Phillip’s Steps. Here, a steep climb upwards leads to a delightful opportunity to observe a range of coastal birds and a stunning cliff backdrop.

Later, at Darwin Bay, a walk along a coral beach presents bird lovers with more wonderful chances to observe bird life in action.

Galapagos wildlife to observe today: Swallow tailed gull, frigate birds, red-footed boobies, lava heron, lava gull.
Day 3 (Sunday) - PLAZAS & SANTA FE

South Plaza Island is home to a sizeable number of land iguanas which may be spotted along our trail scurrying amid the unusual brightly colored red scrub like flora at this site.

At Santa Fe Island later on in the day, trail walks allow us to enjoy the wildlife and interesting cactus vegetation. We might even spot a Galapagos hawk.

Day 4 (Monday) - SAN CRISTOBAL
AM: Breeding Center

PM: Interpretation center

This morning, on San Cristobal Island we first visit the giant tortoise breeding center at Cerro Colorado, where we can learn more about this fascinating creature and learn about the conservation program here. There are many endemic plants to view as well.

Later, we will head to the Interpretation Center to learn more about the history and biodiversity on the Islands. Following this we will return to the Seaman Journey Galapagos yacht for a relaxing evening.

Day 5 (Tuesday) - SAN CRISTOBAL

Before leaving San Cristobal Island there is plenty more to see here. We start at Galapaguera which offers a fabulous chance to see Galapagos giant tortoises living in the wild.

Later we visit Witch Hill where there is a stunning white sand beach next to a hill, and the opportunity to see a variety of iconic Galapagos wildlife. We then head back to the Seaman Journey to set sail again.

Day 6 (Wednesday) - ESPAÑOLA
AM: Gardner Bay

Today is a very special Galapagos day as you will visit two of the best visitor sites in the archipelago. The first port of call is the fabulous white sand beach at Gardner Bay on Espanola Island, which you can enjoy while observing a large sea lion colony and other marine life.

Later, Suarez Point offers opportunities to observe the waved albatross (April – December) and a lot of other bird species along the trail and up on the cliff towards the spectacular blowhole – a highlight of the trip.

Day 7 (Thursday) - FLOREANA
AM: Cormorant Point

This morning, the Seaman Journey cruise moors near Cormorant Point on Floreana Island where we will visit a green-tinged beach, behind which bright pink flamingos reside in a lagoon. There is also a turtle nesting site at an adjacent beach that we can walk too.

At Post Office Bay in the afternoon you can pop your postcards in the historic wooden barrel and see if they get delivered.

Wildlife to spot today: Turtles, flamingos, stilts, rays, flycatchers.
Day 8 (Friday) - SANTA CRUZ
AM: Charles Darwin Station

Wildlife Observation

Your time on the Seaman Journey boat is coming to its end today. Before you go to the airport there is time for one last visit. This is to the Charles Darwin Station, close to Puerto Ayora on Santa Cruz Island. Here you can learn about conservation efforts in the archipelago, and observe the giant tortoise breeding program.

After this we will escort you to the airport on Baltra for your onward journey.

Day 1 (Friday) - SANTA CRUZ

Hiking Wildlife Observation

On arrival at Baltra Airport you will be met by a representative of the Seaman Journey Galapagos ship and transferred to your motor catamaran, ready to begin your cruise. There will be a short period for settling in.

After this, we will visit the Santa Cruz Highlands. Here amid the lush, green foliage there are countless opportunities to spot interesting birdlife, or possibly even a giant tortoise.

Galapagos wildlife to observe today: Finches, giant tortoise, vermilion flycatcher.
Day 2 (Saturday) - FERNANDINA
AM: Mangle Point

PM: Moreno Point

At Mangle Point on Fernandina Island, we disembark our Seaman Journey Galapagos cruise ship for a delightful coastal trip on a panga through the mangroves, which are teeming with wildlife.

Later on we visit Moreno Point, a lovely spot where black lava formations give way to pretty and secluded lagoons, around which wildlife abounds.

Galapagos wildlife to observe here: Flamingos, paint billed crake, white cheeked pintail, common gallinules, sea lions, tortoises, pelicans, rays, other birds.
Day 3 (Sunday) - ISABELA
AM: Urbina Bay

PM: Tagus Cove

The Galapagos Seaman boat stops next on Isabela Island, first at the splendid Urbina Bay. Here, unusually, coral can be seen protruding from the sea as a result of volcanic activity.

Later today, a trip to Tagus Cove allows us to view the names written by early visitors – pirates and whalers – on the cliffs and along the shore line. This Galapagos visitor site is a bird watcher’s paradise, with plenty of land and seabirds to be seen.

Galapagos wildlife to spot today includes: Flightless cormorant, land iguana, giant tortoise, turtles, rays, sea lions, finches, hawks, warblers, flycatchers.
Day 4 (Monday) - FERNANDINA & ISABELA
AM: Espinosa Point

PM: Vicente Roca Point

Back on Fernandina Island we visit Espinosa Point first today. Marina iguanas are initially seemingly hidden among the black lava rock formations here.

Later, the Seaman Journey heads back to Isabela Island for a visit to Vincente Roca Point. Visiting via a panga we can pass by mysterious caves and pretty coves and look out for wildlife during the ride.

Day 5 (Tuesday) - SANTIAGO
AM: Espumilla Bay

PM: Puerto Egas

The Seaman Journey Galapagos cruise visits Espumilla Beach this morning on Santiago Island. This is a lovely sandy spot where green turtles nest. Snorkeling is often good here.

This afternoon, we head to Egas Port for a lovely walk close to another pretty beach, where we can photograph the fascinating geology of this landscape too. Watch the sea lions playing at the shore’s edge and in the water.

Day 6 (Wednesday) - RÁBIDA

PM: Chinese hat

Rabida Island offers a splendid Galapagos visitor site with its spectacularly colored bright red sand and lovely landscape.

Later, we visit Chinese Hat, an island which is named because it looks like a typical Chinese hat. The crescent shaped beach is the stunning backdrop for a wide array of marine wildlife and birds.

Day 7 (Thursday) - SANTIAGO & BARTOLOME
AM: Sullivan Bay

On this day, the Galapagos Cruise visits the fascinating lava formations of Sullivan Bay on Santiago Island this morning. Evidence of volcanic activity is everywhere here, providing splendid photographic opportunities.

Pinnacle Rock on Bartolome Island offers up iconic Galapagos scenery and the chance to take some lovely photographs of this well-known view. There is a bit of a walk to the view point, but you will not be disappointed that you made the effort.

Day 8 (Friday) - SANTA CRUZ
AM: Bachas Beach

Today we will head to Bachas Beach to the north of Santa Cruz Island. Before saying goodbye to the Seaman Journey yacht, you may have time for a swim, and one last wander along a beautiful beach. This site also has an interesting history as it was used by the Americans in the Second World War. After this, you will be transported to Baltra Airport for your return journey to the Ecuadorian mainland.

Galapagos wildlife to look for today: Flamingo, shore birds, white cheeked pintail ducks.

Day 1 (Monday) - SAN CRISTOBAL

Wildlife Observation

Today your Galapagos cruise tour begins as you arrive at San Cristobal Airport. We will collect you from the airport and transfer you to the Seaman Journey ship. There will be some time for a briefing and to get settled.

Following this your first Galapagos visitor site awaits. We will head to the Interpretation Center to learn more about the history and biodiversity in the archipelago through the Center’s fascinating exhibits.

Day 2 (Tuesday) - SAN CRISTOBAL

Still on San Cristobal Island, this morning we will visit Galapaguera, which provides lovely opportunities to see Galapagos giant tortoises in the wild. There are chances for good photographs here.

Later in the day, a visit to Witch Hill offers time to relax on a spectacular beach close to a hill, and to take in the many species of birds that call this place home.

Day 3 (Wednesday) - ESPAÑOLA

Espanola Island is one of the Seaman Journey cruise highlights. The first of these is a visit to Gardner Bay, where sea lions lounge around on a delightful white sand beach, and where we can relax or snorkel too.

Later at Suarez Point there is the chance to observe the waved albatross – season permitting (April to December). The stunning trail winds past nesting bird colonies, up to a breath-taking blowhole.

Day 4 (Thursday) - FLOREANA
AM: Cormorant Point

PM: Post office bay & Baroness Lookout

Cormorant Point on Floreana Island is our first port of call today. Don’t expect to see cormorants here, but you may well see flamingos in the lagoon behind the green colored beach. A turtle nesting area is also found at the adjacent beach at this site.

In the afternoon we will head to Post Office Bay, also on Floreana Island. At this spot there is a historical post system in operation. Pop your mail in the barrel and see if it reaches its destination. After that, relax on the white sand beach.

Day 5 (Friday) - SANTA CRUZ
AM: Charles Darwin Station

Wildlife Observation

Today your trip on the luxury Seaman Journey yacht reaches its end. Before saying goodbye, we will first visit one final Galapagos visitor site – the Charles Darwin Station at Puerto Ayora on Santa Cruz Island. Here you can learn about conservation programs in the islands and see the giant tortoise breeding program.

After this we will transfer you to the airport on Baltra Island for your return journey to Ecuador.

Today your Galapagos adventure starts! On arrival at Baltra Airport, representatives of the Seaman Journey Galapagos will meet you and escort you to the ship to get settled in.

After some time for a briefing and to get settled we head to North Seymour Island, a fascinating Galapagos visitor site with a lot of interesting bird life to spot along the trail across the island.

This morning the Seaman motor boat visits Prince Phillip’s Steps at Genovesa Island, where a steep path leads up to splendid cliff views and delightful chances to enjoy seabird life all around.

Later at Darwin Bay we visit a lovely coral beach for the chance to spot even more seabirds residing in colonies at this location.

Wildlife to look out for today: Frigate birds, red footed booby, swallow tailed gull, lava gull, lava heron.
Day 3 (Sunday) - PLAZAS & SANTA FE

South Plaza is known for its great many resident land iguanas to observe. The vegetation here is also noteworthy as provides a scrubby looking red backdrop, providing lovely photography opportunities.

Later on, the Seaman Journey visits Santa Fe Island. Here we walk among cactus species and look out for wildlife living within.

This morning we go to one final Galapagos visitor site on San Cristobal Island before your Galapagos adventure draws to a close. We head to the Tortoise Breeding Center, where it is possible to learn about the giant tortoise breeding program.

Bidding farewell to the staff at the Seaman Journey yacht, we then transfer you to the San Cristobal Airport for your return flight to the Ecuadorian mainland.
