Treasure of Galapagos Cruise offers three different itineraries
Itinerary A - Central Islands
Day 1 (Friday) - SANTA CRUZ
AM – Flight to Baltra Airport
PM – Charles Darwin Station
We will welcome you to the Galapagos Islands at Baltra Airport and transfer you to the Treasure of Galapagos yacht, where you will spend the next few days.
After some time to settle aboard, we will visit the Charles Darwin Research Station on Santa Cruz Island. Here we can learn about conservation initiatives in the islands and see the giant tortoise breeding program.
Galapagos wildlife to look for today: Giant tortoise, land iguana, sea lion, pelican.
Day 2 (Saturday) - SANTIAGO & BARTOLOME
AM – Sullivan Bay
PM – Bartolome The first stop for the Treasure of Galapagos catamaran today is Sullivan Bay on Santiago Island. Behind the bay is a spectacular lava field, and along the trail we will view interesting wildlife. Later on we will visit Bartolome Island. The scenery here is fabulous, and is a photographer’s dream. You’ll have an opportunity to walk to the viewpoint (worth the effort!) and take pictures of Pinnacle Rock. Galapagos wildlife to spot here: Galapagos penguin, reef sharks, lava heron, Sally Lightfoot crab, turtles, sea lion.
Day 3 (Sunday) - NORTH SEYMOUR & MOSQUERA
AM – North Seymour
PM – Mosquera
At North Seymour Island this morning, the scrubby vegetation gives way to spots for bird life along the side the trail.
At Mosquera Islet later on, we can enjoy this small, sandy spot where there is plenty of wildlife to view, and good photography opportunities.
Galapagos wildlife to see today: Blue footed booby, frigate birds, land iguana, marine iguana.
Day 4 (Monday) - SAN CRISTOBAL
AM – South Plaza
PM – Cerro Brujo
This morning on South Plazas Island we have the chance to spot land iguanas. This place has one of the biggest populations of this creature in the islands, and it has interesting cacti too.
Cerro Brujo means Witch Hill and is on San Cristobal Island. This Galapagos visitor site has plentiful wildlife to observe along a lovely white sand beach.
Galapagos wildlife you may see here: Marine iguana, land iguana, swallow tailed gull, red billed tropic bird.
Day 5 (Tuesday) - SAN CRISTOBAL
AM – Interpretation Center
On this, the last day of your trip on the Treasure of the Galapagos cruise ship we will first visit the Interpretation Center on San Cristobal Island. The Center helps understand the human and natural history of the archipelago.
After this it is time to bid farewell to the Galapagos Islands. We will transport you to the airport on San Cristobal for your onwards flight.
Galapagos wildlife you might see: Pelican, sea lion, blue footed booby.
Itinerary B - Southern Islands
Day 1 (Tuesday) - SAN CRISTOBAL
AM – Flight to San Cristobal Airport
PM – Cerro Colorado
On arrival at San Cristobal Airport we will meet you to welcome you to the Galapagos Islands. We will transfer you to the Treasure of Galapagos luxury catamaran where you will have some time to settle in.
Later we will visit Cerro Colorado on San Cristobal Island, where there is an interesting giant tortoise breeding program to learn more about this animal. There is a chance to see giant tortoises in their natural habitat.

Day 2 (Wednesday) - ESPAÑOLA
AM – Gardner Bay
PM – Suarez Point
Espanola Island is often the highlight of a Galapagos trip for many, with good reason. Our first visitor site today is Gardner Bay, a stunning stretch of white sand beach that we will enjoy along with the large colony of sea lions here.
Later we head to Suarez Point. The trail heads up onto the cliff and ends near an interesting blow hole. There is a lot of bird life to observe, and in season (April – December) we may see the amazing waved albatross.
Galapagos wildlife to spot here: Waved albatross, sea lion, mockingbirds, Galapagos hawk, boobies.
Day 3 (Thursday) - FLOREANA
AM – Post Office Bay
PM – Cormorant Point
The Treasure of Galapagos cruise boat starts its Floreana Island visits today at Post Office Bay. The hite sand beach here is where a barrel can be found, which is used for sending mail – a historical system still in use today.
At Cormorant Point later on there is a green tinged beach, behind which a saltwater lagoon can be viewed. The trail leads to a second beach where there is a turtle nesting site.
Galapagos wildlife here: Flamingo, rays, flycatchers, stilts, pintail ducks, turtles.
Day 4 (Friday) - SANTA FE & SANTA CRUZ
AM – Santa Fe
PM – Tortuga Bay
On Santa Fe Island this morning there is a good chance of spotting land iguanas darting about among the cacti on this distinctive island. We can learn about the fascinating vegetation and wildlife here.
Later we head to Tortuga Bay on Santa Cruz Island for some beach time. The white sand beach is a fabulous place to relax and enjoy the wildlife, and black turtles nest here.
Galapagos wildlife to see: Land iguana, Galapagos hawk, frigate birds, pelican.
Day 5 (Saturday) - SANTA CRUZ
AM – El Chato
Santa Cruz Island is the final port of call for the Treasure of Galapagos ship today. Waving goodbye to the boat, we will head to the Santa Cruz highlands for a final chance to look out for some wildlife. We may spot giant tortoises among the vegetation here.
After the highlands visit we will head onward to the airport at Baltra, so you can catch your flight to the Ecuador mainland.
Galapagos wildlife you might see: Finches, giant tortoise, flycatchers.
Itinerary C - Western Islands
Day 1 (Saturday) - SANTA CRUZ
AM – Baltra Airport
PM – Charles Darwin Station
Staff from the Treasure of Galapagos luxury catamaran will meet you at Baltra Airport to transfer you to your ship today.
Following a chance to get settled, we will visit the Charles Darwin Research Station on Santa Cruz Island. There is a lot of information here about the conservation efforts in the Galapagos Islands, as well as a fascinating breeding program for giant tortoises.

Day 2 (Sunday) - SANTA CRUZ
AM – Whale Bay
PM – Dragon Hill
This morning we will head to Whale Bay on Santa Cruz Island. The beach here has green hues as a result of olivine crystals. This is the site of an old whaling colony. It is possible to climb the hill for a good view of the landscape.
On Dragon Hill we will look out for so-called “dragons” – the land iguanas that can be found residing here, as we wander along the trail.
Galapagos wildlife to observe here: Land iguana, flamingo, Galapagos hawk, shorebirds.
Day 3 (Monday) - ISABELA
AM – Las Tintoreras
PM – Wetlands
You’ll awake on the Treasure of Galapagos ship close to Isabela Island. We will first head to Tintoreras, a cluster of tiny islands packed with marine life to observe. This is not far from Puerto Villamil, the main settlement on the island.
Later in the day we can visit the Isabela wetlands where many bird species can be found in this habitat comprised of lagoons, swamps and mangroves.
Galapagos wildlife you may enjoy today: Galapagos penguin, sea lions, sea turtles, rays, marine iguana.
Day 4 (Tuesday) - ISABELA
AM – Punta Moreno
PM – Urbina Bay
We continue on Isabela Island today, with our morning visit to Punta Moreno. This rocky spot provides a home and nesting opportunities for a range of birdlife, and lizards. Marine life can be spotted in the rock pools.
At Urbina Bay in the afternoon the unusual landscape we will view was caused by volcanic activity leading to coral pointing up out of the sea.
Galapagos wildlife you might observe: Land iguana, giant tortoise, flightless cormorant, herons, Galapagos penguin, turtles, rays.
Day 5 (Wednesday) - FERNANDINA & ISABELA
AM – Punta Espinosa
PM – Tagus Cove
The first point to visit today is on Fernandina Island, and it is the unique sight of Punta Espinosa. The lava here has created an unusual landscape, with the formations home to a range of wildlife.
After the Treasure of Galapagos boat has sailed to Isabela Island we will then visit Tagus Cove, which was a hideout for pirates in days gone by. The trail leads by a salt water lagoon and lovely scenic views.
Galapagos wildlife here: Sally Lightfoot crab, sea horse, marine iguana, Galapagos penguin, flightless cormorant, sea turtles.
Day 6 (Thursday) - SANTIAGO
AM – Puerto Egas
PM – Rabida
On Santiago Island this morning we first head to Puerto Egas. We can learn about the history here while enjoying the coastal trail and rockpools and look out for wildlife along the way.
Later on we will visit Rabida Island, stunning for its red colored beach. As well as relaxing on the beach, there are superb snorkeling opportunities here – a great chance to observe the fascinating marine life.
Galapagos wildlife you could see: Galapagos dove, boobies, marine iguana, sea lion, colorful fish.
Day 7 (Friday) - SANTA CRUZ
AM – Las Bachas
This morning is your last time with us on the Treasure of Galapagos catamaran. Before bidding you farewell, we will first visit Las Bachas Beach on Santa Cruz Island. There is a chance for a swim and to
enjoy the beautiful beach.
After this visit we will transfer you to Baltra Airport. From here you can catch your flight back to mainland Ecuador.
Galapagos wildlife you might see: Marine iguana, Galapagos dove, boobies, shore birds.
