Itinerary North - West & North Islands
Day 1 (Sunday) - NORTH SEYMOUR
AM: Baltra
PM: Seymour
Arrival in Baltra airport and transfer to the Nemo II boat. Briefing on board about the boat and the islands.
North Seymour Island: In this island can be found the largest population of frigatebirds of the Galapagos, along with great landscapes.
Wildlife you might see today: Frigate birds, blue-footed boobies, land and marine iguanas.
Day 2 (Monday) - SANTA CRUZ
AM: Highlands
PM: Charles Darwin Station Santa Cruz Highlands: In Santa Cruz Island, the highlands are home of the giant tortoises in the wild, on clear days is possible to see the whole island from up there. Charles Darwin Station: the center gathers all the conservation efforts running in the islands as well as special exhibits with intersting facts. Wildlife you might see today: Vermilion Flycatcher or one of Darwin’s finches, Giant tortoises.Day 3 (Tuesday) - ISABELA
AM: Moreno Point
PM: Urbina Bay
Moreno Point: Beautiful lanscape composed of lava flows and lagoons where can be found many shorebirds.
Urbina Bay: The main attraction of this site is the uplfit of the coral reef that can be seen at sea level.
Wildlife you might see today: Flamingoes, paint-billed crakes, white-cheeked pintails, giant tortoises, land iguanas, and flightless cormorants.
Day 4 (Wednesday) - ISABELA
AM: Tagus Cove
PM: Fernandina: Espinosa Point
Tagus Cove: It was a popular place amoung the whalers and pirates of the 16th century. Here is possible to snorkel with penguins.
Espinoza Point: A narrow stretch of land where hundreds of marine iguanas gather largely on black lava rocks.
Galapagos Wildlife you might see today: Giant tortoises, hawks, yellow warblers, large-billed flycatchers, Flightless Cormorants, Sally Light foot Crabs, Galapagos Penguins, sea horses, marine iguanas and sea turtles.
Day 5 (Thursday) - SANTIAGO
AM: Egas Port
PM: Buccaneers Cove
Egas Port: The first trail of the visit takes us to the shore to see the birdlife, the other path leads to the volcanic salt mine there.
Buccaneer Cove: A place rich in marine life and great for snorkeling. This was a refuge of the British buccaneers back in time.
Wildlife you might see today: Sea lions, fur seals, sea turtles, rays, sharks.
Day 6 (Friday) - RABIDA & SANTIAGO
AM: Rabida Island
PM: Sullivan Bay
Rabida Island: The maroon beach and the possibility to see pelicans nesting from up close make this visit a great one!
Sullivan Bay: Here the sand of the beach and the lava go along to form an amazing landscape.
Wildlife you might see today: Marine Iguanas, Blue-footed and Nazca boobies, Green Sea Turtle, Galapagos penguins, Spotted Eagle Rays and Black-tipped Sharks.
Day 7 (Saturday) - GENOVESA
AM: Prince Phillips Steps
PM: Darwin Bay
Prince Phillip's Steps: The Cliff is 25 meters high and in the path to reach it we will see from up close the nest of the red-footed boobies.
Darwin Bay: The trail will lead to the perfect lookout point to appreciate the cliffs and the bay.
Wildlife you might see today: Storm Petrels, Short-eared Owl, Lava Gulls, Lava Herons, Swallow-tailed Gulls, Great Frigatebirds and Red-footed Boobies.
Day 8 (Sunday) - DAPHNE
AM: Daphne Islands
PM: Baltra
Daphne: This island has a fragile ecosystem, so we need to be careful. This is an historical place where scientists studied the short term evolution..
After this visit, we head back to Baltra airport to catch our flight.
Galapagos Wildlife: Nazca boobies, blue-footed boobies, red-billed tropicbirds, Darwin’s finches, frigate birds, Short-eared Owls.
Itinerary South - East & South Islands
Day 1 (Sunday) - SANTA CRUZ
AM: Baltra
PM: Bachas Beach
Baltra Island: Arrival in Baltra airport and transfer to the Galapagos Nemo II Yacht.
Bachas Beach: The white sand beach and clear waters for snorkeling are a great start for our Galapagos journey.
Wildlife you might see today: Flamingos, white-cheeked pintail ducks, and migratory birds.
Day 2 (Monday) - SANTA FE & PLAZAS
AM: Santa Fe
PM: South Plaza
Santa Fe Island: The massive Opuntia Cacti forest makes the perfect home for land iguanas.
South Plazas: Here is the largest colony of frigatebirds of the Galapagos. Is possible to se both the land and marine iguanas here.
Galapagos Wildlife you might see today: Red-billed tropic birds and swallow-tailed gulls, marine iguanas, land iguanas.
Day 3 (Tuesday) - SAN CRISTOBAL
AM: Kicker Rock
PM: Lobos Island
Kicker Rock: One of the best places to snorkel in the world, the dramatic landscape is formed for two huge rocks emerging from the water.
Isla Lobos: Besides the large colony of sea lions it is also possible to see fur seals in the shade of the island.
Wildlife you might see today: Red-footed, Blue-footed and Nazca boobies, Storm Petrels, Sea Lions, Fur seals, Frigatebirds.
Day 4 (Wednesday) - ESPAÑOLA
AM: Suarez Point
PM: Gardner Bay
Punta Suarez: This is the most famous spot in the Galapagos, for its rich wildlife and the largest colony of waved albatrosses residing there.
Gardner Bay: In this bay is the only place where the three Galapagos boobies can be seen: the red-footed, the blue-footed and the Nazca booby
Wildlife you might see today: Nazca and Blue-footed boobies, Galapagos Hawks, Española Mockingbirds, Waved Albatross, sea lions.
Day 5 (Thursday) – SANTA CRUZ
AM: Highlands
PM: PM: Charles Darwin Station
Santa Cruz Highlands: On the highest part of the island, and borded with the National park and agriculture zone can be found the giant tortoises.
Charles Darwin Station: The center gathers all the conservation efforts in the islands as well as interesting exhibits.
Wildlife you might see today: Vermilion Flycatcher or one of Darwin’s finches, Giant tortoises.
Day 6 (Friday) - FLOREANA
AM: Cormorant Point
PM: Champion Islet - Post Office Bay
Cormorant Point: The green sand and the flamingo lagoon are the highlights of this visit. Many shorebirds can be found here.
Champion Islet: a great place to dive along with sea lions and tropical fish. Post Office Bay: The barrel that can be found her commemorates the communication system used in past centuries, back to the Nemo II Galapagos catamaran for the rest of the afternoon.
Wildlife you might see today: Pintail ducks, stilts, Large-billed Flycatchers, Flamingos, Rays.
Day 7 (Saturday) - BARTOLOME & CHINESE HAT
AM: Bartolome
PM: Chinese Hat
Bartolome: The train in Bartolome will take us to the lookout point where is possible to take amazing photos of the Pinnacle Rock, the most famous postal of the Galapagos.
Chinese Hat: This site is composed of delicate lava cones and is perfect to snorkel with sharks in its turquoise waters.
Wildlife you might see today: Green Sea Turtle, Galapagos penguins, Spotted Eagle Rays and Black-tipped Shark, sea lions.
Day 8 (Sunday) - BLACK TURTLE COVE
AM : Black Turtle Cove
AM: Baltra
Black Turtle Cove: The quiet waters of the cove make the snorkeling experience unique, it is easy to spot the sea turtles nesting in the area. Transfer to the Airport.
Galapagos Wildlife you might see today: Sea turtles, lack-finned reef shark, the white-tipped reef shark, and the Galapagos sharks.
